At the recent winter meeting of the Androscoggin County Bar Association, I had the honor of being elected President for the next two years. During that meeting, we were pleased to announce that the Bar is now receiving applications for the Honorable Robert Clifford Scholarship. How to Apply:
If you are interested in applying for the scholarship, the application materials are here: Hon. Robert W. Clifford Scholarship Application_Final.
The scholarship is proudly given to honor Justice Robert W. Clifford, a Lewiston native who served in the Maine Senate, as Mayor of Lewiston, and as Chief Justice of the Superior Court of Maine before his appointment to the Supreme Judicial Court in 1986. He currently serves in Active Retired status. Throughout his distinguished career, Justice Clifford has served his home community with compassion, dignity, and intellectual vigor. Scholarship applicants can request an application form by emailing AndroscogginCountyBar@gmail.com. Applications are due by July 1, and the winner will be notified in August.
